   Paste the rubric and your observation notes (4 min).

   Include the rubric criteria (not a filled score sheet if you can avoid it), what you noticed in the work, and one growth goal. Use “Student A” or initials. Do not paste a class roster or prior grades.

   Lock “do not assign a grade.”

   The model may describe strengths and next steps. It may not output A–F, percentages, points, or “this is a 3/4.”

• Privacy: no student full names, IDs, or class rosters in a consumer chat. Use initials or “Student A.” Follow FERPA and district AI policy.
• Do not invent a quote from the essay to make feedback sound specific.
• Skip this recipe if you have not read the work. Feedback from a title alone will be fiction.
