Turn the week’s notes into a 30-minute 1:1 agenda—without inferring personality traits.

Last verified: 2026-09-07

Do not infer personality, motivation, or clinical traits. Use only events and asks in your notes. You still run the meeting.

Protocol

  1. Dump the week, not a character study (3 min).

Paste projects, blockers, wins, their asked topics, and hard time-boxes. 30 minutes total. Do not add “they seem checked out” unless they said something you can quote. No Myers-Briggs, “high performer energy,” or similar.

  2. Lock “no inferred personality.”

Paste the rules first so the model cannot invent a coaching theory.

    Copy-paste prompt

Build a 30-minute manager 1:1 agenda from my week notes.

    Hard rules:
    - Use only events, blockers, and asks I wrote.
    - Do not infer personality, motivation, neurotype, “culture fit,” or performance ratings I did not give.
    - Do not invent 1:1 history or private HR issues.
    - Time-box to 30 minutes. If too much, mark overflow as Parking lot.
    - Every topic needs an owner (me / them / both) from my notes or Unassigned.

    Output:
    ### Agenda (time · topic · owner · goal)
    ### Decisions to confirm
    ### Follow-ups from last time (only if I listed them)
    ### Parking lot
    ### Questions I can ask (from my facts only)

    Confirm the rules, then wait.
  3. Paste notes and trim to 30 minutes.

If the agenda is packed, you cut—not the model’s favorite “growth conversation.” Then send:

Here are this week’s notes. Build the 30-minute agenda. If a topic is not in the notes, omit it. No personality language. Mark overflow as Parking lot.
  4. Share the agenda before you meet.

Send it to them so they can add a line. You still run the clock. If you want a Slack-ready version, use the block below.

    Slack-ready agenda

Rewrite the agenda as a short Slack message with times. Do not add topics. Keep Unassigned visible.

When not to

  • Do not let the model diagnose personality, burnout, or “attitude.”
  • Do not paste compensation, health, or formal HR case notes into a general chat.
  • Do not invent last week’s commitments if you did not write them down.
  • Skip this recipe if you have zero notes—just put two bullets on a calendar invite.
