Protocol

  1. List wins you can prove (5 min).

Paste 6–12 accomplishments with the metric, time window, and source (dashboard, ticket, email). Add the review form prompts if you have them. If a number is a guess, label it ESTIMATE or leave it out. Do not add a peer quote you did not receive.

  2. Lock “no invented KPIs.”

Paste the rules first. The model may rephrase; it may not create a target you never had.

    Copy-paste prompt

Help me write a performance-review self-assessment from facts I paste.

    Hard rules:
    - Use only wins, metrics, dates, and quotes I provide.
    - Do not invent KPIs, OKRs, revenue, headcount, CSAT, or customer names.
    - If a form question has no matching fact, write GAP and say what evidence I still need.
    - No first-person fluff (“passionate,” “rockstar”). Prefer verb + what changed + evidence.
    - Separate Impact / Collaboration / Growth. Keep each bullet one sentence.

    Output:
    1) 8–12 bullets grouped by those three headings
    2) A 4–6 sentence summary paragraph
    3) GAP list
    4) Phrases that sound stronger than my evidence (flag them)

Confirm the rules, then wait for my form prompts and wins.
  3. Paste the form and the evidence.

Drop the official questions, then the wins list. After the draft, read every number against the source you named.

    Generate command

Here are the review questions and my evidence. Draft the self-assessment. If a KPI is not in my list, do not add it—mark GAP. Quote my metric exactly.
  4. Fit the company’s word limit.

Most forms cap length. Ask for a cut that keeps the numbers and drops adjectives. You paste into the HR tool—never give the model a login.

    Tighten pass

Cut to the word/character limit I specify next. Keep every number I provided. Remove adjectives I cannot defend. Leave GAP items as a short list at the end, not in the official answers.

When not to

  • Do not invent a KPI, quota, or “team of N” to look more senior.
  • Do not paste other people’s performance notes, compensation, or health details.
  • Do not treat this draft as the official submission. You still paste and send in the HR system.
  • Skip this recipe if you have no notes yet. Gather tickets and metrics first.
