Turn an offer letter, your wins, and market notes into a negotiation script—without inventing comps.

Last verified: 2026-09-07

Not legal, tax, or financial advice. You supply the comps and market notes. Do not invent market ranges, competing offers, or metrics you cannot defend.

Protocol

  1. Gather only numbers you can defend (5 min).

Paste the written offer (role, cash, bonus, equity, start date, location), 5–8 achievements with numbers you can stand behind, and any market notes you actually opened (title, date, range, source). If a range is a guess, label it GUESS or leave it out. Do not add a competing offer you do not have.

  2. Lock the honesty rules before the script.

Start a new chat. Paste the rules first so the model cannot invent comps or a BATNA.

    Copy-paste prompt

Help me draft a salary-offer negotiation script from facts I paste.

Not legal, tax, or financial advice. I will decide what to send.

    Hard rules:
    - Use only the offer terms, achievements, and market notes I provide.
    - Do not invent competing offers, market comps, percentiles, cost-of-living, or equity values.
    - If a number is missing, write UNKNOWN or NEED FROM ME. Never fill a comp.
    - Do not coach me to misrepresent another offer or a deadline.
    - Keep the tone specific and calm. No threats.

    Output after I paste:
    1) Ask range grounded only in my numbers (or UNKNOWN if I gave none)
    2) A 6–10 line spoken/email script
    3) Objection drills using only my facts
    4) Items I should verify before I send

Confirm the rules in one sentence, then wait.
  3. Paste the packet and generate the script.

Drop in the offer, wins, and dated market notes. Then send the generate command. If a drill needs a number you did not give, the model must ask—not invent.

    Generate command

Here is the offer, my achievements, and my market notes. Draft the script and drills. Quote my source title/date next to any market figure. If a comp is missing, write UNKNOWN instead of filling it.
  4. Edit the ask, then practice the drills.

You still choose the number. Cut any line you cannot say out loud. If you want a shorter email variant, use the block below—then send from your own mailbox.

    Email variant

Turn the spoken script into a short email (under 180 words). Keep every number exactly as in the approved script. Leave UNKNOWN visible. No new comps. Subject line options: 3.

When not to

  • This is not legal or financial advice. You supply every comp; the model must not invent market ranges, competing offers, or percentiles.
  • If you did not paste a dated market note, the ask stays UNKNOWN. Do not let the model fill a “standard” equity refresh.
  • Do not paste unreleased company metrics, other employees’ pay, or confidential offer PDFs into a tool you would not forward to HR.
  • Skip this recipe if you only have a verbal “we’ll send something” and no written terms yet.
