Turn a client brief and your real rates into a freelance proposal—not a contract, and not a fake portfolio.

Last verified: 2026-09-07

This is a draft proposal, not a contract, MSA, or legal review. Do not invent case studies, logos, or results you cannot show.

Protocol

  1. Paste the brief, your rates, and real proof (5 min).

Include the client ask, timeline they stated, your rate card or a range you will actually charge, and 1–3 portfolio items that exist (link or one-line result). If you have no case study, write NONE. Do not add a logo you never shipped.

  2. Lock “not a contract / no invented portfolio.”

Paste the rules first so the model cannot mint a 40% conversion lift or a Fortune-50 logo.

    Copy-paste prompt

Draft a freelance proposal from a brief and rates I paste.

Not a contract, SOW signature copy, or legal advice. I will send and negotiate.

    Hard rules:
    - Use only the brief, deliverables, dates, and rates I provide.
    - Do not invent portfolio pieces, metrics, client names, certifications, or team size.
    - If proof is NONE, omit social proof rather than fabricating it.
    - Mark assumptions vs. quoted facts.
    - Do not promise unlimited revisions or a date I did not give.

    Output:
    1) Restated goal and out-of-scope list
    2) Deliverables + timeline from my dates
    3) Investment (my rates only)
    4) Proof section (only items I listed)
    5) Open questions / NEED FROM CLIENT
    6) “This is a proposal, not a contract” footer

    Confirm the rules, then wait.
  3. Generate, then check every number and name.

Paste brief + rates + proof. If a metric appears that you did not type, delete the sentence.

    Generate command

Here is the brief, my rates, and my real proof (or NONE). Draft the proposal. If a case study is missing, skip the proof section. Do not invent a deadline.
  4. Send as a proposal; sign a real agreement separately.

You still send. A signed contract is a different document. If you want a shorter email cover, use the block below.

    Cover email

Write a 90-word cover email pointing at the proposal. No new prices, dates, or portfolio claims. Leave NEED FROM CLIENT as one bullet.

When not to

  • This is not a contract. Do not treat the draft as signed scope.
  • Do not invent case studies, logos, or “we grew X 3x.”
  • Do not paste another freelancer’s proposal and ask to “make it yours.”
  • Skip this recipe if you have no rate and no brief—write those two lines first.
